Our story

From one Florida office to the showroom floor

For roughly thirty years, MacKenzie Insurance Agency has done the unglamorous work of insurance the right way. Pick up the phone. Explain the options. Stand behind the policy. Not one claim has ever been filed against the agency, and we guard that record carefully.

Somewhere along the way we noticed where coverage actually goes wrong for people. It isn't at renewal. It's at the dealership, on the one day you need insurance settled in minutes. So we built our embedded showroom program and the EZLink quote-start service to meet drivers right there.

Today that's what we do best. We bring real insurance help into the car-buying moment, for dealerships and their customers alike.

Insurance Agent
Philip Waters is a Florida native who grew up in Jacksonville. He earned a Bachelor of Science in agricultural economics from the University of Georgia in Athens in 1992, where he also played college football, then went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the William H. Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1995.
He spent nearly three decades in the retail automotive business. Most recently, before earning his insurance license two years ago, he was National Director of Sales and Vice President of Sales at DealerOps, a software-as-a-service data analytics provider for car dealerships.
That career on the dealership side, paired with his background in economics and law, gives Philip a broad perspective he puts to work for customers and dealer partners every day.
